DCG is passionate about supporting the growth and business success of organizations and their people.  We believe that one size does not fit all, which means we use our extensive expertise to tailor solutions for our clients.  Leading the way is  DCG's founder, John Deal Jr., who serves as overall leader for the company but, most importantly,  a key solutions provider  for our clients.

John E. Deal Jr.
President

John founded DCG to provide business advice and support to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) consulting organizations and the EHS function of private companies.  With nearly 35 years of experience in the EHS industry, serving in diverse roles with state and federal regulatory agencies, the private sector, and as a consultant, John brings considerable practical business and commercial expertise to clients.  John has served as the CEO for the Americas for Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a leading global EHS and sustainability consultancy, where he led the development and execution of a strategy and reorganization to transform and achieve double-digit growth of two-thirds of ERM’s global business.

After seven years in a regional leadership role,  John spearheaded and redesigned ERM’s Global Key Client Program, which more than doubled the company's revenues over a four-year period from a portfolio of Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mining, and Manufacturing clients.  In addition to leading the overall program, John served as the "hands on" global team leader for ERM’s largest global client, a major Oil & Gas client, achieving sustained year-on-year growth in net revenues from $10M to $45M over a five year period.

Most recently and prior to founding DCG, John served as the Vice President, Commercial Development for Bureau Veritas’ HSE Division where he established a strategy for growth to include an integrated sector, client, and service approach.  John provides strong expertise in strategy development and execution, commercial functions to include key account management, operational and organizational excellence, and the overall EHS market.
